THE UNTOLD

 
Your existence baffles my imagination
I can't help but wonder how you run without a visible source of power;
You remain 24 hours right in every nation
Even though your time zone differs across the planet's hour.

Your one of the oldest human invention
Yet the knowlegde of you remains eluding;
How you meet the need to consistently measure intervals of time, in all ages and generation,
Still beats human understanding.

You exist of an object that repeats the same motion over and over again, an oscillator,
Nobly, you create purses which are countered by some kind of counter-
Believed to be converted into convenient units: seconds, minutes, hours and more
And some kind of indicator displays the result in humanly readable form- to make abetter.

Your controversial existence is indeed unknowable
Yet, well co-ordinated;
And valuable
I think you are perhaps, a constructive mystery yet to be visited.
